Twitter Fails: The Weekly Battle Against Misinformation & Hate
A Weekly Series exposing ignorance, lies & hate.
Each week, we will compile a roster of the most ill-informed, spurious, and misleading political tweets on Twitter, and examine why they have been included in our selection. Should you happen to find your own tweet on this roster, we regret to inform you that the ignorance cannot be undone:
#1 Marjorie Taylor Greene Vs. Lindsey Graham:
I mean first of all, why the hell is a sitting US Congresswoman, who heads up multiple committees, sharing an edited image of a US Senator? Not only that, but that Senator is one of the more influential Senators within her own party. On top of that, the fact that Republicans see someone drinking Bud Light as such a flagrant act, says everything. Note that Anheuser-Busch, the parent company of Bud Light has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to Republicans. In fact they donated close to $500k to the National Republican Congressional Committee alone. Why is it that Republicans get so offended that a transgender woman made a few thousand bucks for promoting a beer?
#2 Brigitte Gabriel’s Trump Praise
Ok, I get it. Brigitte is obsessed with former President Trump. With that said, she could not be further from the facts. A recent favorability poll by ABC News / IPSOS on April 9th indicated that Trump’s favorability was at a measly 25%. Yes, 25%!
#3 Benny Johnson Talks Low-T
I don’t know what it is about conservative men who constantly attack the “manliness” of other men. Whether it’s calling them “soy boys,” “beta males,” or any other number of ridiculous names, it seems to be a staple of their strategy. A great way to intimidate men from sticking up for marginalized communities is to attack their manhood apparently. Well, guess what Benny, men with empathy like Adam Schiff and Ted Lieu, usually have empathy thanks to a higher IQ. And do you know what one sign of high testosterone is? A High IQ.
#4 Matt Walsh is Racist
Yes, this is racism. Crime statistics in America show there is little to no difference between white on black crime and black on white crime. Posting a single video or even a couple of videos of African American women harming white women, and then claiming that violence “goes one way” is racism. You are racist Matt. Oh and unlike what your tweet say, there are plenty of cases where white women attack black women. Stop being ignorant. Here are a few: Case 1, Case 2, Case 3.
